Social Folder is a new service that allows users to synchronize their files on different social media services with files on their desktop computer. Think of SocialFolders as Dropbox for your social media files. The service automatically syncs your photos, videos and files from the web with a folder on your computer that you can access offline. You can, for instance, work on your Google docs while offline. When you connect to the Internet again, the changes will automatically be made in the online versions. SocialFolder also syncs content from one service with another, allowing you to have all albums in your Flickr account automatically added to your Facebook account or Picasa account, for instance.
SocialFolders places an icon on the navigation pane in Windows explorer under the favorites section. Double-clicking the icon opens the SocialFolders folder, which contains sub-folders for each connected service. The folders are named after the online service with additional subfolders to organize the content. The program supports Facebook, Twitter, Picasa, YouTube, Google Docs, Twitter, Evernote, Instagram and several others. Right-clicking on the icon reveals options to add more connected services, refresh all services, and change your preferences such as changing your name, e-mail, or unlinking a computer from SocialFolders.
The free version lets you connect up to three social media sites and transfer 2,000 files, but you can earn additional social network connection and 500 more files by inviting friends to join the service. Upgrading removes all restrictions but will cost you $1.99 per month, or $9.99 annually.
Features
Friends Sync: SocialFolders makes it easy and seamless for you to access the social content that matters to you (think of that album on your friends’ profile of your group trip to Rome) while respecting the privacy settings of your friends across all applicable social services. Friends’ content is available for Facebook, Flickr, Twitter and Instagram – without having to invite your friends to SocialFolders. This feature will be extended to other services soon.
Versioning support for Google Docs: Users can connect with Google Docs, work on documents offline, and SocialFolders will automatically sync the changes back to Google Docs in the form of new revisions in that doc.
Supported services: SocialFolders integrates with Twitter, SmugMug, Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, Photobucket, Box, Google Docs, Evernote and YouTube.
Facebook Photos I’m tagged in: You can download automatically in a dedicated folder all the Facebook photos where you’re tagged.
Privacy settings: When you upload new photos or albums through SocialFolders, you can set them as private or public by default.
Hi friends, Windows 7 and Windows vista comes with a ready boost option.
"ReadyBoost is a disk cache component of Microsoft Windows, first introduced with Microsoft's Windows Vista in 2006 and bundled with Windows 7 in 2009. It works by using flash memory, a USB flash drive,SD card, CompactFlash, external hard drive or any kind of portable flash mass storage system as a cache. ReadyBoost is also used to facilitate SuperFetch, which allows it to perform analysis of boot-time disk usage patterns and creates a cache which is used in subsequent system boots."
Source If you are using a high configuration PC, It doesn't show any effect on speed because if you are a normal user I think only a few times you use your full ram memory but if you are using an old pc with low ram memory(Like 512 MB or IGB) and harddisk & using vista or 7. It speed up your PC and you will see the result, reduced application data loading time, reduced shutdown and restart time and many more you can't imagine without High ram memory. How to use this feature Plug in your pendrive-> Format with NTFS or FAT32 Now go to properties->Select ReadyBoost Check U se this device->Choose maximum space to reserve system speed Click on Apply and OK. Your readyboost PenDrive is ready Now to Use.
